Andatee China Marine Fuel Spikes after Earnings
Andatee China Marine Fuel Services Corporation (AMCF, Free Analysis), which produces and distributes blended marine fuel oil in Northern China, saw its shares jump nearly 25% after reporting higher-than-expected fourth quarter and year-end earnings. The company’s revenues surged 57% to $124.28 million, while its net income increased 333% to $6.4 million.
The marine fuel provider attributed the success to strong execution of their business strategy as efforts to expand their sales network into Sandong, Zhejiang and Donggang yielded positive results. Meanwhile, the recent addition to the Nasdaq also remains focused on providing high-quality fuels at a competitive price to customers.

Angiotech Surges Ahead of Earnings Release
Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ANPI, Free Analysis), a specialty pharmaceutical and medical device company, saw its shares jump more than 20% ahead of its fourth quarter earnings scheduled for 4:30 a.m. EST on March 4, 2010. The move suggests investor confidence in the numbers due out, although there has been no new news out during today’s session.
In February, the company completed patient enrollment in its Phase I study of Multistem. Netlist Continues to Trend Higher on Speculation
Netlist, Inc. (NLST, Free Analysis), which manufactures and sells memory subsystems to primarily server and communications markets, saw its shares jump a further 10% during today’s session amid speculation that a positive settlement with Google may be forthcoming. The December 2009 case is seeking cash compensation and a court order preventing further use.
The company alleges that Google’s computer servers infringe a patent for a memory module that increases capacity and improves energy efficiency. Meanwhile, the company also expanded its patent infringement suit against Inphi last month to include two recently issued patents in addition to the one included in the earlier complaint.
